To submit your work, find comfort and freedom during your writing process. I've found that when I'm given a word limit or a specific topic of choice to write about, the specifics create barriers for free-flowing creative work. And then I find myself with the dreaded "writers block".

When submitting, please remember and include the following:

  • There is no word limit.

  • No topic is off limits; write what you want others to learn about the LGBTQ+ community, or something others can relate to (comedic or tragic).

  • A brief description of yourself.

  • State your pronouns.

  • List any social media accounts, websites, and/or other works you'd like to connect with readers. We give credit where credit is due.

  • Your identity is important to us. If your prefer your experience to be confidential, request being listed as "Anonymous".

Once you have submitted your materials, Can't Write Straight will respond asking for any optional information such as a photo of your choosing.

Remember, this is your voice. You're the brave and strong person that gets to share it on our platform. At anytime, you may request for your contribution to be retracted.

Happy Writing!
